Project - Kubernetes Data Protection

Kubernetes is rapidly emerging as the standard for container orchestration in modern enterprise applications. It simplifies the challenges of scale and elasticity, making it a foundational technology for cloud-native architectures.
Veritas made a strategic investment in Kubernetes data protection to stay ahead of the curve. This was a greenfield design project, offering the opportunity to build the user experience from the ground up.
Our process began with extensive user research to assess the technology landscape and market maturity. Cross-functional collaboration between Product Management, Engineering, and Design was key to shaping the roadmap.
The long-term vision: to deliver a category-leading backup and orchestration solution purpose-built for the evolving needs of Kubernetes environments.The initial release focused on enabling data protection at the cluster level, with future milestones centered around granular control of Kubernetes objects.
